Calling all FORD enthusiasts! This Ford FPV GT ‘40th Anniversary’ is a remarkably well-preserved example of the rare limited-edition performance sedan, offered with ONE GENUINE from new who was a Ford Enthusiast and with a very low mileage.
Under the bonnet sits a naturally aspirated 5.4-litre ‘Boss 290’ V8, delivering around 290kW to the rear wheels via a six-speed Tremec manual transmission.
This FPV GT ‘40th Anniversary’ is number 167 of just 200 examples produced, of which only 175 examples were destined for the Australian market.
The odometer shows just 4,000 Kms from new.
Revealed at the 2007 Melbourne International Motor Show, the FPV GT 40th Anniversary model was produced to commemorate 40 years of the iconic Falcon GT model line.
The limited-edition model features a unique Silhouette Black colour scheme with contrasting twin gold racing stripes and ‘GT 40th Anniversary’ side decals, as well as revised side skirts, a large rear spoiler, 19-inch alloy wheels, and unique exterior and interior badging.
Alongside these cosmetic touches, the model also features Brembo brakes and a revised ‘R-Spec’ handling package.
Inside, the cabin features black leather and synthetic suede upholstery with contrasting stitching and embroidered ‘GT’ emblems on the seat backs, as well as satin silver, and patterned silver trim accents.
It rides on a set of 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels finished in gloss black with diamond-cut faces, framing red Brembo callipers and shod in Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tyres.
The factory specification includes cruise control, upper dashboard oil temperature and pressure gauge pods, a built-in CD stereo with multifunctional LCD display, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, switchable traction control, and an electrically adjustable driver’s seat.
The car comes with a framed promotional poster, a pair of front floor mats, two copies of Motor magazine with features on the car, two black fabric FPV-branded bags, the owner’s manuals with a black leatherette wallet, the certificate of authenticity and limited-edition model information in a black leather-bound folder, the GT 40th Anniversary DVD, and the service booklet.
